TLC's 'Bakery Boss' Premiere: Buddy Valastro Helps Struggling Business Owners (VIDEO)

The Cake Boss Saves The Day

"The Cake Boss" meets "Tabatha Takes Over"? That's what TLC brought with “Bakery Boss," which saw the "Cake Boss" himself, Buddy Valastro, step in to help a struggling bakery business.

The premiere of the TLC reality series centered on Friendly Bake Shop, owned by the Viti family. The Frankfort, New York staple since 1961 had become rundown and only displayed a few pastries in its window. Friendly Bake Shop hadn't been anyone's bakery of choice in years ... until Buddy stopped by to save the day.

“This is great. I’d never see this many people in the bakery at one time. This fast-paced energy, it’s something that I dreamed of, but never thought I’d see,” Tony Viti said. “Money is flying in so fast. It’s like, cha-ching cha-ching cha-ching!" Carrie Viti added.

Three months after their grand re-opening, the Vitis say the bakery is booming and doing three times the business they used to do.

Buddy tweeted that he had a great time helping out the Vitis.

Those watching at home tweeted that they also loved TLC's "Bakery Boss" spinoff pilot and hope it comes back for more episodes.
