'Blancanieves' Wins Best Ibero-American Picture At Ariel Awards

"Blancanieves," by Spanish director Pablo Berger, took Best Ibero-American Picture honors at the Ariel awards, the Mexican film industry's equivalent of the Oscars.

Berger's silent, black-and-white version of the Snow White story garnered multiple trophies earlier this year at Spain's Goya Awards.

"El Premio" (The Prize), from writer-director Paula Markovitch, won the Ariels for best picture, first work, original screenplay and editing.
