George Clooney took aim at the press after it was reported he was seen holding hands with his ex-fling, Monika Jakisic.
InTouch magazine first reported Clooney was spotted holding hands and getting cozy with Jakisic, a Croatian model, at Loulou’s members-only club on Saturday, May 25 in Mayfair, London.
"He didn't seem to care who saw them. He was being openly affectionate," a source told the magazine, adding that they eventually left separately so as to not be photographed together. “Lots of people were going up and saying hi to George — he didn't leave Monika's side. The place was packed but he didn’t seem to care who saw them inside the club. They were laughing and looked very comfortable together and were there ‘til very late.”
But the 52-year-old quickly quashed all talk of the alleged rendezvous.
“The story is made up," Clooney told the New York Post's Page Six. “I wasn't holding anybody's hand. Stop trying to sell magazines by creating scandal that isn't there.”
Clooney and Jakisic were first romantically linked back in 2007, but he has been dating Stacy Keibler since 2011. A source close to Keibler dismissed the report of Clooney holding hands with his ex and added that Keibler and the actor are still very much together.
Back in March, breakup rumors circulated Clooney and Keibler. At the time, Us Weekly reported the former WWE star was "feeling the [20-year] age difference" and the actor was "being really distant and pulling away from her."
The couple is currently separated by geographical distance, however. Page Six reports the Oscar-winner is currently on location filming “The Monuments Men," while Keibler flew to Monaco for the Grand Prix.
