About two months ago, I started suffering from daily, brain-melting migraines. I'd had migraines before, but never with the same frequency and intensity as these. After a week or so of Advil, long naps, and trying to make my anxiety medication a migraine cure, I dragged myself to my expensive-ass doctor.
My doctor is, for the most part, a pretty cool woman. She suffers from migraines and neck tension much like me, so she's usually sympathetic and understanding. When I came in for the migraines (with sunglasses on, while barfing in her trash can) this time, she provided me with a prescription for Topamax, a medication that is frequently given to migraine sufferers.
