Princess Charlene's Vogue Japan Cover Is As Understated, Elegant As We'd Expect (PHOTO)

PHOTO: Princess Charlene Lands A Major Vogue Cover

It's official: Princess Charlene is a Vogue cover girl!

The princess of Monaco has landed her very own cover feature in Vogue Nippon's latest issue. The muted, elegant shot features Charlene wearing a white turtleneck (perhaps it's Akris?) and slicked-back hair while standing in front of rolling hills in an outdoor landscape. Very regal.

This Vogue honor was certainly a long time coming. The former Olympian has been featured inside the pages of American Vogue a couple of times, and her image, along with Grace Kelly's, was used for a fake Vogue Italia cover (it was in response to Newsweek's Princess Diana/Kate Middleton cover). Plus, fellow members of her princely family, including Princess Stéphanie and Charlotte Casiraghi, have already graced their own Vogue covers.

But it was Charlene who stole the show this time. The interior shoot for Vogue Nippon features the 35-year-old in some stunning monochromatic looks (because of course). And since the princess has become such a regular at fashion week (Dior, Armani and the aforementioned Akris are among her favorites), we're hoping this is the first of many glossy magazine covers.
