From sprinting to pole vaulting, track and field meets are pretty typical at most American high schools. But for one meet in Kenya, it was pretty clear that spectators were not attending your average athletic competition.
With reggae music playing in the background and a large group of enthusiastic supporters on the sidelines, two Kenyan student athletes took on the high jump -- but with a twist. Not only did the competitors successfully hurdle themselves over an incredibly tall high jump bar, but they also managed to do it without the help of a mat to land on.

According to Mashable, the height of the bar was over six feet tall... and one of the athletes even braved the high jump sans shoes.
The now-viral video -- which has reached more than 2.5 million views on YouTube since posted on May 23 -- was taken by Michael Stewart, a Run for Life volunteer. He obtained the incredible footage while observing a track meet outside the town of Mosoriot.
