'Hit The Floor': The Secret Is Out, And Asha Is Stunned

If fans of VH1's new dance drama "Hit the Floor" were thinking that the big secret about Asha's father would be something that would unfold over the season, they were in for a big surprise. It's only the second episode, and the cat's out of the bag. But it wasn't the new Devils coach, Pete, who told her. Jelena overheard him and Asha's mother talking, so she decided to drop that bombshell seconds before the opening game in hopes of sabotaging her new rival.

The gambit worked, as Asha was frozen in shock while the other Devil Girls made their way onto the court.

Even Jelena's parent network, VH1, dubbed her "99 percent evil" for that particular move. In only two episodes, she's certainly established herself as one evil and vindictive woman. And with her position at the top of the heap threatened by Asha's talent -- and perhaps her familial connections as well -- Jelena is only going to lash out more.

While it's probably not going to be very fun for Asha, it should make for great television viewing for fans of this soapy endeavor. If over-the-top drama is what you're looking for, then look no further than "Hit the Floor," a guilty pleasure all summer long, Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.

TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.
