Arianna Huffington Turns Her Living Room Into A Mini-Conference Center For The Third Metric Conference (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post's first-ever women's conference, "The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money & Power," has been making headlines with its eye-opening discussions about the way we [define] our personal worth in the workplace, at home and in relationships. Hosted by Arianna Huffington and Mika Brzezinski, the conference brings together women (and a few men!) across a diverse array of industries and backgrounds. But the discussion has to start somewhere -- literally. To that end, Arianna turned her home into the most welcoming "conference center" you've ever seen.

"We didn't want this to be in a ballroom, we wanted it to be intimate," Arianna explained in her opening remarks.

Ironically, Arianna has just recently moved into this SoHo loft and just as she has been putting the finishing touches on her lovely new home, she had to make way for the attendees. "The last piece of furniture arrived on Thursday and the truck immediately arrived to take it away," she told us. We're sure her guests are appreciative of her hospitality, along with the cozy and comfortable environment for the day's panels. We certainly agree that having an inviting meeting space establishes a great environment for sharing ideas. (Can you imagine if this was held at the Javits Center?)

Scroll through the photos for an inside look at how Arianna's home was transformed into an elegant event space and make sure to follow Twitter hashtag #ThirdMetric for more photos and news throughout the day.
