WATCH: People Flee As Black Forest Fire Grows

A fast moving fire in the community of Black Forest in El Paso County, Colo. has forced the evacuation of more more than 1,200 people because of the growing Black Forest Fire, the Gazette reports.

KDVR reports that video from SkyFOX showed the fire had consumed at least ten homes in the area, The Denver Post reports eight homes have burned, but an official number has not been released by authorities.

The current size of the fire Tuesday night is unknown, however earlier Tuesday afternoon El Paso County Sheriff said that the fire was approximately 15 acres.

Areas south of Hodgen Road, north of Burgess Road, east of Tahosa Lane and west of Meridian Road are under mandatory evacuation, according to 9News.

As of 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, firefighters said they are saving the homes they can, but are having to let some burn.
