This might be the hat trick of all mealbreakers*: disgusting, disturbing and dangerous.
A California woman claims that she almost bit down on a razor blade that she found in her Burger King burger, ABC News 10 reports. Yolanda Orozco, 46, says she was checking to make sure there were no onions on the burger when she discovered a blade nestled between the meat patty and the cheese.
The local police department in Willits, Calif., concluded no criminal wrongdoing was involved and believe the razor fell onto the burger by accident.
In a statement obtained by the Huffington Post, Burger King said the incident appears to be an isolated one, adding that they have "strict food handling procedures" that "clearly outline that razor blades are not permitted in or near food preparation areas at any time."
Disturbingly, this is not the first time that a razor blade has been found in a fast food meal.
In April 2012, an Illinois woman reportedly discovered a razor blade in the eggs she ordered from McDonald's. Earlier that year, a Connecticut woman allegedly discovered a sharp object in her McDonald's chicken McBites.
*Mealbreaker (n.): a nasty, non-edible surprise found in food while it is being eaten; often lawsuit-provoking, sometimes fabricated, always disgusting.
