The first teaser trailer for "Diana," the new film about the late Princess Diana and her relationship with Dr. Hasnat Kahn, has arrived online. Naomi Watts stars as the "people's princess" in the film, with "Lost" actor Naveen Andrews filling the role of Kahn.
"It was a story that was going to be told, and I just felt like she was a fascinating woman," Watts said in an interview with ABC last year. "It's delicate because her boys are still around, obviously. Very much so. But, like I said, it was going to be told. Maybe it was more recent than people [expected]."
Watts initially bristled at the offer to play Princess Diana, but the material was too good to pass up. "I kind of wanted to say no but I couldn't," Watts said last year.
It's expected that Watts will be in the thick of the Oscar race for her performance. Take a look at the "Diana" trailer above; the film is set for U.S. release sometime this year.
