'Couples Therapy' Cameras Catch Joe Francis Being Verbally Abusive Towards His Girlfriend (VIDEO)

While VH1's "Couples Therapy" is going to have to learn how to go on without Courtney Stodden prancing around the house, at least they've added "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis to the mix. He joined the show alongside his model girlfriend, Abbey.

The two arrived as if they were going on an extended vacation. They brought an entire moving van filled with their stuff to the house they'll be sharing with the other participants. But their personal baggage may be even heavier.

Abbey admitted that she has an eating disorder. Joe's job only makes her more self-conscious about her own body. To make matters worse, Joe was secretly verbally abusive to her. Or at least, he thought it was a secret. The cameras appeared to be catching more than he intended.

“Babe, come here for one second. Upstairs. Come here for one second. Quit being a f*cking b*tch!" he said at one point.

Abbey lashed out in return. "Be a f*cking man," she challenged him. "Speak to me like that on camera. You coward.”

“It’s obvious there’s more than underlying tension here, and the muffled profanity Abbey spits out under her breath could foreshadow a future Dr. Jenn-moderated discussion on levels of respect in their relationship," said VH1 about the couple. Radar Online was rooting for the show to help them work through their issues Unfortunately, based on the track record of the show -- almost everyone who has participated in the past has broken up after filming -- it's not looking good.

Come back for more sessions of "Couples Therapy" every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
