Here comes the Zac Posen-clad bride!
Posen is teaming up with David's Bridal for a new line called Truly Zac Posen, USA Today reports. The six-piece collection will include bridal gowns and "other social occasion styles" in the $850-$1,350 price range. The collab hits 50 select stores and DavidsBridal.com in February 2014.
"The collection draws on an aesthetic that's glamorous, romantic, strong, with exquisite detailing from the inside out," Posen said on the David's Bridal website. "When a woman wears a Zac Posen gown, I want her to feel embraced and empowered, joyous and confident."
She'll also feel satisfied at having saved on her gown. Three-figures for a dress is by no means cheap, but designer wedding dresses by the likes of Oscar de la Renta or Carolina Herrera hit more in the $7,000-$10,000 range. For brides who want a designer label on that big white gown, a David's Bridal dress might just be their best bet.
Truly Zac Posen will follow a similar model to the Vera Wang for David's Bridal collection, which debuted in February 2011 with wedding dresses and later expanded into a bridesmaids line (that then ended up on "Gossip Girl").
