Brielle Shooting Suspect Captured After Standoff With Law Enforcement: Report

A man suspected of shooting a woman in Brielle, N.J., early Tuesday has been taken into custody, according to the Associated Press.

The unnamed man had barricaded himself in his home at a condominium development in Point Pleasant, N.J., after the alleged incident. He was arrested without incident on Tuesday afternoon after a standoff with law enforcement officers, including a SWAT team, who had surrounded his condominium unit.

The man is believed to be the person who allegedly shot a 35-year-old woman in the parking lot of Sand Bar Restaurant in Brielle at about 1 a.m. on Tuesday. As of Tuesday morning, the woman was listed in critical, but stable condition, according to NJ.com.
