Michele Bachmann Hits Karl Rove, Hurls 'Muslim Brotherhood' Slam At Obama On Syria

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) took hits at both GOP strategist Karl Rove and President Barack Obama Tuesday during an interview with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham.

Bachmann, who recently announced she would not be running for reelection, criticized Rove after he said she "did nothing" as a tea party leader. Bachmann called Rove's remarks "bizarre."

“On one hand, the tea party was doing too much. And now they’re saying they’re not doing enough," Bachmann said.

“The base of our party is not where Karl Rove is, to be honest with you,” Bachmann said. “I think that perhaps he wants to be the conscience of the Republican Party.”

Bachmann also addressed the arming of Syrian rebels in the interview, calling it "insanity and madness for the American taxpayer to be paying to send arms to what will essentially be Al-Qaeda." She reiterated her criticism of the "Muslim Brotherhood," dragging Obama into that fight.

"It's very interesting that the Obama Doctrine tends to be listing up the Islamic jihadist-based Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda elements in the Middle East, and that is what the Obama administration sees will be stabilization," Bachmann said.
