I use the wheel pose in yoga to fight depression and stress, and to help open up the chest, throat and shoulders. You can achieve this position from the ground by laying down comfortably on a mat and placing your hands behind your head with your fingers facing your feet. Slowly, lift your lower body with your legs and your upper body with your arms.

Downward facing dog pose is wonderful for relieving back pain, anxiety and stress. You can get into this position by placing your hands under your shoulders on the mat and spreading your fingers. Start with your knees under your hips and slowly work your legs backwards. Tuck your toes under, lift your knees up, stretch your legs back and bring your heels flat to the floor.
