Recipe Of The Day: Cuban Coffee

If we had to pick just one thing that Cubans do well -- aside from the sweet plantains, maduros -- it would definitely be their coffee. Cuban coffee is for the serious caffeine enthusiasts.

Cubans drink their coffee strong; they drink it fast; and they drink it often. And if made right, Cuban coffee comes just perfectly sweetened.

Actually, to make a proper Cuban espresso at home, you have to add sugar. The sugar's quickly whisked with a little bit of espresso to create a layer of sweet "cream" that floats on top of the coffee. It's part of the secret to what makes Cuban coffee so great.
