Liam Neeson In 'Taken 3'? 61-Year-Old Actor Reportedly Getting $20 Million For Sequel

Liam Neeson's very particular set of skills clearly involve check cashing. According to Deadline.com, Neeson, 61, is close to signing on for "Taken 3," a deal that would pay him $20 million.

The first two "Taken" films -- about a man (Neeson) trying to save, respectively, his kidnapped daughter and ex-wife -- earned more than $600 million worldwide in combined grosses. That Neeson would star in "Taken 3" is slightly surprising, if only because of comments the star made during press rounds for "Taken 2."

"I think this is the end," Neeson said about his burgeoning franchise in an interview with a group of reporters last year. "I mean how many times can she be taken? I mean, it's bad parenthood, really, after that."

That criticism, however, is one that screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen certainly has on his radar. "We didn't start talking about [Taken 3] until we saw the numbers," Kamen said in an interview with Hollywood.com last year. "But then we said, 'Oh, okay. I think we should do a third one.' And Fox wants us to do a third one. [...] We've taken everyone we can take, [though] -- it's going to go in another direction."
