Harvey Moon, a new media artist, has found a solution to the complaint: "I'm just not good at drawing."
Moon has designed, built and programmed robots that can draw for him. "I always wanted to render these images that were in my mind, and the drawing machine was a way for me to collaborate with the machines to create these works," the Chicago-based artist says in his interview with The Creator's Project.
Moon's machines don't simply rely on producing abstract works -- they are capable of drawing elaborate portraits almost entirely independently of human assistance. The unusual artist gives a detailed explanation of the mechanical process behind the machine in the video above.
