Snoop Dogg's 'Let The Bass Go' Video For 'Turbo' Movie Premieres

Snoop Dogg Drops The Bass For Cartoon Snails

Snoop Dogg is taking a brief hiatus from his stint as the reborn Snoop Lion to record a rap song for the upcoming animated flick "Turbo." While Snoop Dogg rap and an animated children's movie may not sound like the likeliest pair, the 41-year-old rapper is a father of three and cleans up his lyrics for the track.

The music video to Snoop's "Let the Bass Go" made its debut this week, juxtaposing footage of him rapping in an Adidas tracksuit with scenes of the animated snails from "Turbo." The song has Snoop rapping, "Now I’ve seen players, too many to name / Some gain recognition and even fame / Some go slow and so may go fast / But me and my partners we dip and we dash." Take a look at the music video for "Let the Bass Go" above.

In addition to contributing to the movie's soundtrack, Snoop lends his voice to the film. Hitting theaters on July 17, "Turbo" also features the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Ken Jeong, Maya Rudolph, Samuel L. Jackson, and Michelle Rodriguez, among others.
