'Annie' Stars Video: Girls React To News They Were Cast On Broadway In Most Amazing Way Ever (VIDEO)

WATCH: 8-Year-Old 'Annie' Star Freaks Out When She Makes The Cut

This is apparently what pure happiness looks like when you're eight years old.

In the video above, a budding Broadway diva named Emily learns that she's been cast as an orphan in the musical "Annie" in New York. What follows is a tornado of pig-tails, toothy smiles and shrieking, as the 8-year-old celebrates what appears to be the best news she's ever received in her life.

The footage is part of a behind-the-scenes documentary titled "It's The Hard-Knock Life," which -- wait for it -- is all about the making of "Annie." Emily, along with an 11-year-old Georgi and a nine-year-old Junah, are shown in the doc, screaming, jumping and clapping in response to their new gigs.

Watch the footage above and below and let us know what you think of the new "Annie" orphans in the comments.

"It's The Hard-Knock Life", directed by Joshua Seftel, airs Friday, June 28, 2013 at 9pm EST on PBS (check local listings).
