"50 Shades of Grey" fans won't be getting their Christian Grey anytime soon.
Rumors started swirling last week that the cast of the upcoming "50 Shades" film adaptation would be announced at this year's Comic-Con. As the film has yet to name its Mr. Grey or the young woman playing Anastasia Steele, fans have been clamoring for months for casting news.
According to "50 Shades" author E L James, however, fans will just have to keep waiting. The 50-year-old writer took to Twitter this week to shoot down the rumors that the casting news would soon be made public.
I dunno where this rumour started that the cast would be revealed at Comic Con...but it is just that - a rumour. (Sighs)

Released in 2011, "50 Shades of Grey" has been scheduled to hit theaters with its film adaptation on August 1, 2014. The movie will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, who recently led the film "Nowhere Boy" about John Lennon.
No word from James or Taylor-Johnson on when the cast of the film will be announced.
