San Francisco 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks could face charges stemming from an alleged assault of teammate Lamar Divens, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
According to court documents obtained by the Mercury News, Brooks got into an argument with Divens over car keys and allegedly hit him in the head with a beer bottle outside Brooks' home. Divens reportedly needed three stitches and the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office is debating whether Brooks should be charged.
The 49ers released a brief statement on the matter.
