Ron Miller's Planet Art Shows How Night Sky Would Look If Earth Had Planets Instead Of Moon (PHOTOS)

What If Earth Had Planets Instead Of Moon?

Here's a crazy idea: what if you looked up at night and saw not the moon but an enormous Saturn looming over the horizon? Or if Jupiter filled the night sky?

For the eye-popping images below, Ron Miller, former art director for the National Air and Space Museum's Albert Einstein Planetarium, reveals how the planets in our solar system would look if they were as close to Earth as the moon.

If Planets Were As Close As The Moon...

"We are all familiar with the moon in our skies but many people struggle to appreciate the sheer size of the planets we share our solar system with," Miller told The Daily Mail.

Each planet is shown as if it were 240,000 miles from Earth -- the average distance between the moon and Earth. Since Venus is about four times larger than the moon, for example, it appears four times larger, according to Miller.

Miller has produced several sets of thought-provoking science images. He's imagined what it could look like at the world's end, and what Earth would look like if it had rings like Saturn.
