David Alan McBurnett, Man On Felony Probation, Arrested With Joint Behind Ear During Traffic Stop

Man Pulled Over In Traffic Stop, Forgets Weed Behind His Ear

License, registration, and what is that behind your ear?

A man on felony probation for homicide/manslaughter culpable negligence found himself back in the slammer Friday when an officer sniffed out a joint tucked above his ear during a traffic stop.

David Alan McBurnett, 22, was driving in Brooksville, Fla., when police pulled him over for a vehicle equipment violation, Hernando Today reports. As McBurnett handed over his driver's license and registration documents, an officer noticed what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette behind McBurnett's ear.

Officers performed a field test and confirmed: Weed.

McBurnett, of Lehigh Acres, is charged with possession of marijuana less than 20 grams and violation of felony probation, according to the Hernando County Detention Center.

McBurnett is being held at Hernando County Jail without bond. He has one previous parole violation on record.
