A security guard found himself in the middle of the action on Monday night while the San Francisco Giants hosted the New York Mets at AT&T Park.
In the top of the sixth inning, Mets' utility man Eric Young smacked a line drive into the corner of left field behind San Francisco's Andres Torres. The ball rolled toward one of the security guards stationed just below the foul pole. As the guard tried to get out of the way, he had to kneel down to allow Torres throw it to third base.
Torres' throw was on track but Young barely beat it out for a triple.
Eric Young later scored the go-ahead run in the 16th inning and the Mets won 4-3.
