When Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend welcomes Oprah to his home in Hollywood Hills for an interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter," he doesn't just open up about his music career and fiancée Chrissy Teigen; he also opens the door to his and Teigen's beautiful and serene outdoor living space.
After greeting Oprah, Legend guides her through lush greenery to his backyard escape. "We've got some bamboo, we've got some agave, cactus -- all kinds of stuff back there," Legend says in the video above.
The space serves as a laid-back, social hangout for Legend, Teigan and their guests. "We have barbecues here all the time," Legend tells Oprah. "It's just a nice vibe. Get to relax with friends."
Then, Legend reveals the highlight of his home tour. "This is my favorite spot back here," he says, gesturing toward an inviting retreat featuring a plush swing hanging from a large tree. "A little reading cove. "
"I love a man with a reading cove!" Oprah says.
