John Mayer Buys Guitar For Girl, Makes Her Biggest Fan Ever

Proof that love is contagious? Just days after gushing about Katy Perry, John Mayer was apparently feeling so magnanimous that he reportedly picked up a pricey guitar at a downtown New York store for a completely random person.

Us Weekly reports that ecstatic 16-year-old Julie Fermin was the lucky person who just happened to be admiring a guitar when a couple entered the store. When Mayer asked which guitar she liked, Fermin "showed him, and he went over and checked the guitar's price. I said, 'Yup, but I can't afford it,' and he said, Oh, stop it!" [Cue screaming].

Mayer isn't the only celebrity to have bestowed random acts of kindness toward others. Ryan Gosling famously broke up a street fight in New York two years ago, while Woody Harrelson reportedly once gave a homeless woman on the street $600.
