Ellie Kemper will visit "How I Met Your Mother" for its final season, CBS has confirmed. The casting news was first reported by TVLine.

The "Office" alumna will play Cassie, “one of the most attractive, available, and -- as Ted discovers -- unfortunate guests at Barney and Robin’s wedding,” executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas told TVLine.

For now, Kemper is scheduled to guest star in one episode of Season 9, but since the entire season will take place over the weekend of Barney and Robin's wedding, there should be potential for her to reappear.

Other familiar faces set for "HIMYM's" final season include Wayne Brady, who will reprise his role as Barney's half-brother James, and Sherri Shepherd who will play Daphne, a fellow traveler who becomes Marshall's nemesis. Also joining the cast as a regular for the final season is Cristin Milioti, the show's titular mother, who was revealed in the Season 8 finale.
