Change is afoot on "Covert Affairs." On the season premiere, Annie and Auggie discovered that Arthur had been sending money to Colombia. It turns out he had an illegitimate child there. Rather than try to continue covering up his indiscretions, as soon as Arthur learned that they knew his secret, he made a big announcement.
“In the coming days, press outlets will reveal that I have engaged in an extramarital affair," Arthur said, getting in front of the story. "I’m resigning my post, effective immediately.”
“This changes everything," Annie said. The show's co-creator, Matt Corman, told TV Guide that "this is just the beginning. Arthur's ...secrets will be revealed slowly in the next couple episodes, and Annie has to decide how to deal with them.”
TV.com is excited about this new angle for the show. "This shift in focus—from outside threats ... to the inner workings of a department that's been troubled since the start of 'Covert Affairs'' very first season—is a good call at this point in the series' life," they wrote.
Come back to see secrets unfold on "Covert Affairs," Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on USA.
