Charl Schwartzel Throws Club In Frustration At British Open (VIDEO)

It was a tough opening round for Charl Schwartzel at the British Open. The 2011 Masters champion finished 4-over par at Muirfield, nine strokes back from the current leader, Zach Johnson. The back nine was especially unforgiving toward the South African, recording bogeys on the 10th, 12th, 13th and 14th holes.

On 15, Schwartzel took his frustration out on one of his clubs. After an errant second shot, Schwartzel violently threw his six-iron into the ground in a show of frustration.

Schwartzel finished 15 with a double bogey. The club appeared to be broken beyond repair and needed to be retired for the day.
