DJ Khaled Proposes To Nicki Minaj On MTV (VIDEO)

Is DJ Khaled for real?

Appearing on MTV UK Thursday, the radio host and rapper sent out a plea to Nicki Minaj, asking the "Super Bass" singer if she'd be willing to tie the knot -- with him.

"Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?" Khaled said on what appears to be a short segment for MTV News, revealing a hefty engagement ring. "I feel like you need a man like me in your life."

According to E! News, the ring Khaled flashed onscreen was a 10-carat, radiant-cut sparkler worth about $500,000.

"Nicki Minaj, I'm at MTV. I love you. I like you. I want you," said the hip-hop star. "I want you to be mine. I'm here at MTV because it's a worldwide network. Only reason I'm not telling you this face to face is because I understand that you're busy."

Minaj, who's most recently been romantically linked to Safaree Samuels, has yet to respond to Khaled's plea -- but we're not exactly holding our breath.

The pair are not believed to have ever dated, and some suspect that Khaled's proposal may simply be an elaborate publicity stunt. The DJ's upcoming album "Suffering From Success" is due to drop at the end of September.
