Last week when Univision cancelled the successful Piolin morning show, many fans were left scratching their heads. Why would a popular radio personality suddenly get the axe? Well now, new chisme details are coming to light.

This week, the L.A. Times reported that Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo had been hit with a lawsuit. Apparently, the SoCal DJ is being accused of physically, emotionally and sexually harassing a co-worker.

Alberto “Beto” Cortez worked with Sotelo for over 10 years and during that time, alleges that an ongoing stream of misconduct took place. Not surprisingly, Piolin’s reps have denied all the charges.

“A disgruntled, troubled employee has made malicious and false claims about Eddie Sotelo,” his lawyer said in a statement. “This was done as part of a demand for money.”

Either way, it’s certainly interesting that charges like this would erupt in the midst of Piolin’s firing. Did they play a part in the radio show’s downfall? We’ll let you be the judge.
