Trader Joe's Plans Third Colorado Location: Greenwood Village

Trader Joe's Announces Third Colorado Location

Trader Joe's fans rejoice! The California-based grocery chain has announced a third location in Colorado -- this one in Greenwood Village, about 10 miles south of Denver.

Trader Joe's announced the new store on Monday which is expected to open in 2014 at the Cherry Hills Marketplace, 5901 S. University Blvd. at the intersection of East Orchard Road, The Denver Post reports.

The specialty grocery store chain has already begun construction on a Trader Joe's at 750 Colorado Blvd. in Denver and another location at 1906 28th St. in Boulder.

The Colorado Blvd. store, slated to open sometime near the end of 2013, will feature an adjacent beer and wine store and although Boulder and now Greenwood Village will also have Trader Joe's stores, under Colorado law, the Denver location will be the only one in the state to obtain the liquor license.
