'Her' Trailer: Joaquin Phoenix Falls In Love With Scarlett Johansson's Voice In New Spike Jonze Film

Gorgeous, Heartbreaking First Trailer For New Spike Jonze Movie

The gorgeous first trailer for "Her," Spike Jonze's newest film, debuted on Wednesday, providing audiences with the chance to fall in love with Scarlett Johansson's voice and Joaquin Phoenix's hangdog charm. Written by Jonze, "Her" takes place in the near future, where Siri-like operating systems are "intuitive entities." Enter Johansson as "Samantha," the disembodied voice that understands Phoenix's Ted better than his ex-wife (played by Rooney Mara). Amy Adams co-stars in the film, which looks like "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" mixed with "Being John Malkovich" (see: Adams' wig). Arcade Fire wrote the "Her" score, because of course they did.
