Justin Bieber is allegedly under investigation for his involvement in a brawl that went down last weekend in Southampton, N.Y.
Police are looking into whether the 19-year-old, who was "acting like a 'Die Hard,'" told his bodyguards to beat up Wayne Rennalls, 22, outside South Pointe nightclub early Sunday morning, according to the New York Post's Page Six. Rennalls was hospitalized and suffered a black eye, bruised ribs and a cut lip. He later filed an assault claim.
“That would be part of the investigation, whether Bieber directed them or not," Southampton Police Sgt. Todd Spencer told Page Six.
The altercation began in a parking lot around 4 a.m. on Aug. 4. At some point a rock was supposedly thrown at the singer's SUV and Rennalls was roughed up by the superstar's security. Southampton police already confirmed to E! News that Bieber's entourage is under investigation.
South Pointe management told E! News the singer was nowhere near the fight.
A rep for the pop star could not be immediately reached for comment. However, a publicist told the New York Daily News, “Justin was not involved in any altercation.”
The "Heartbreaker" singer posted a cryptic tweet Sunday about the recent "rumors."

The nightclub scuffle is the latest of many late-night incidents that have landed Bieber in the headlines. Last month alone, he was recorded peeing into a restaurant mop bucket, he was kicked out of a Chicago club for underage drinking and he was accused of spitting on a DJ at a club in Ohio.
