Sharon Stone: Most-Paused Moment Homage For 'Basic Instict' On 'Conan' (VIDEO)

Sharon Stone Pays Homage To That Most-Paused Moment In 'Basic Instinct'

During Sharon Stone's visit to "Conan," the talk show host congratulated her on holding a kind of bizarre Hollywood record. It has to do with her 1992 hit movie "Basic Instict." And yes, the majority of readers from a certain generation have just figured it out.

“Why Conan, what moment would that be?” Stone said coyly. She then uncrossed and recrossed her legs, just as her character Catherine Tramell did in the infamous film scene. "I’m uncertain. I’m uncertain what moment we’re talking about.”

Stone played up her looks as a femme fatale in "Basic Instict," but she's almost unrecognizable in her latest movie, "Lovelace." She plays down her sexy image to play mother to "Deep Throat" star Linda Lovelace in the biopic. She was so immersed in the role that Harvey Weinstein, whose company is distributing the film, had no idea she was in the movie after he'd seen it.

According to the LA Times, Stone took Weinstein's comment as the ultimate acting compliment, saying, "It's kind of great."

See if you recognize Sharon Stone when "Lovelace" hits theaters in a limited release on Friday, August 9. "Conan" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
