'AGT': Forte's Operatic Take On 'Unchained Melody' Wins The Night

The first night of semi-finals on "America's Got Talent" wrapped with a show-stopping vocal performance from Forte. The three guys who met online and formed this group for the purpose of trying out for "AGT" gave an operatic performance of "Unchained Melody" that transcended language -- which was a good thing, as most of it was not sung in English.

Even more impressively, they were the only act of the night to earn a standing ovation. So, of course, it's not a huge surprise that they found themselves on top of Avery Thompson's rankings for the night over at Hollywood Life.

“There was no act better to close out the night than this epic group. Forte blew us and the rest of Radio City Music Hall away with their powerful performance," Thompson wrote. "Seriously, these guys are amazing ... The rest of [the] semi-finalists better watch out.”

Buddy TV's Ted Kindig agreed, saying that "these guys kick the bar for singers and musicians up another few notches." Did they do enough to make it into the finals?

To find out, keep watching "America's Got Talent" on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
