We can't imagine a sweeter home conversion project than the Baker Chocolate Factory Apartments in Massachusetts.
According to our friends at Curbed, the factory mills that once produce delicious sweets were converted into luxury rental apartments in the 1980s. The amazing rehabilitation of the once old and abandoned buildings earned the architects, The Architectural Team, a National Historic Preservation Award by President Ronald Reagan. The firm also renovated the administration office, which holds 13 artist lofts and a gallery space. Besides for a unique architectural history, the residences have a fitness center, courtyards and according to Curbed, a faint smell of chocolate.
This isn't the only chocolate factory that you can live in -- The Chocolate Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, also offers lofts with a sweet backstory.
