Yasiel Puig Throw Nails Rene Rivera At The Plate In Latest Reminder Not To Run On Him (VIDEO)

WATCH: Puig Nails Another Runner At The Plate

Note to National League baserunners, test the arm of Yasiel Puig at your own risk. Padres catcher Rene Rivera became the latest player in the Senior Circuit to learn of the dangers inherent in challenging the Dodgers' right fielder.

With the Padres having already taken a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on Saturday night, Rivera attempted to score from third when Andrew Cashner singled on a line drive to right. Unfortunately for Rivera, Puig was in right. The 22-year-old fielded the single on a hope and fired a one-hop throw to L.A. backstop Tim Federowicz. Cashner couldn't have been more out if he'd tried to break from third while wearing a pair of Bad Idea Jeans.

"It was a beautiful throw," Dodgers pitcher Capuano said after his team's 2-1 win, via MLB.com. "He's got a great arm. They were being aggressive. He had to make a perfect throw and he did, as he often does."
