Obama Congratulates Nyad On Historic Moment

President Barack Obama tweeted his congratulations to Diana Nyad, who on Saturday became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage.

Nyad, 64, completed the 110-mile swim in about 53 hours. This was her fifth attempt at the swim -- she also tried three times in 2011 and 2012 and once in 1978.
