Tim Gunn is by far one of our favorite television personalities, and after reading his latest interview with Etsy, we can't help but love him even more.
Gunn admitted that he's absolutely "crazy" about the site and what the artisans do. "I can’t navigate the world on any given day and not intersect with Etsy. In many ways, Etsy was very prophetic about the values we are holding so high today: Made in America, Made in New York, bringing back the Garment District," he said.
Even though we know him as a fashion guru, Gunn actually was a sculptor before making it big, so he knows a thing or two about crafting -- just don't call him crafty. "I revere the world of craft. A lot of what is wrong with art today is that there is simply no evidence of skill or craft in it," he said. "I revere craft, but not 'crafty,' which is a word I sometimes use for poor execution or embellishments that don’t correspond to the concept."
