McCain Mocks Laura Ingraham

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) mocked Fox News host Laura Ingraham's "vast knowledge of military tactics and strategy" on Tuesday.

During an appearance on "Fox & Friends," host Brian Kilmeade told the senator Ingraham thinks he's bailing President Barack Obama "out of a misguided, confused policy."

McCain explained he's "encouraged when the president commits to increasing our support for the Free Syrian Army, for providing them with weapons that they need to combat Bashar al-Assad, and to degrade the capabilities of the Syrians to deliver these chemical weapons and other weapons." But McCain noted he has not offered his full support of Obama's plan for "limited and narrow" steps to punish Assad.

“I just beg to differ [with Ingraham]. I'm sure that with her vast knowledge of military tactics and strategy, she knows better than me," McCain said before laughing.

Ingraham isn't the first Fox News host McCain has mocked for questionable views on the crisis in Syria. He slammed Kilmeade on Tuesday for questioning Syrian opposition groups' use of the phrase "Allahu Akbar," which means "God is great" in Arabic.

“Would you have a problem with an American person saying ‘Thank God? Thank God?'" McCain said. “That’s what they're saying. Come on! Of course they're Muslims, but they're moderates and I guarantee you they are moderates.”
