Surveillance video showing Aaron Hernandez at the same Boston nightclub as two men who were killed in a drive-by shooting just hours later in 2012 has been obtained by authorities, as first reported by Jenny Wilson of the Hartford Courant. Shortly after the former New England Patriots tight end was charged with the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in June, Bristol Police revealed that law enforcement authorities in Boston were investigating his possible connection to the double homicide from 2012.
Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado were fatally shot in downtown Boston on July 15, 2012 and witnesses told police that a grey SUV with Rhode Island plates fired on the victims' vehicle, according to The Associated Press. A vehicle towed from Hernandez's uncle's house in June 2013 matched the description of the vehicle linked to the case, reports CBS Boston.
Unnamed investigators who spoke with The Boston Globe believe Hernandez was with a group involved in a fight with the two victims at a nightclub before the shooting.
No charges have been filed against Hernandez in this case.
