When Dina Manzo walked away from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" in 2010, she cut ties with the cast -- including her friend Teresa Giudice.
"When I left the show I chose to distance myself from everyone," Manzo says in the above clip from "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" on OWN. "Teresa included."
That is, until Giudice showed up at her front door to rekindle the friendship. "We sat and talked for hours and hours and hours," Manzo says in the video. "She made the effort because she just noticed I was missing out of her life and made the effort to fix it."
In July, Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, were charged in a 39-count indictment, including bank and mail fraud. They each pleaded not guilty to the charges, which carry a sentence of up to 50 years in prison.
Though they're friends, Manzo says Giudice hasn't confided in her about her legal troubles. "Teresa and I don't have that kind of relationship that we talk about our problems," Manzo says.
"The Teresa that I know is just fun-loving and no matter what's going on in her life, she still maintains an upbeat attitude," Manzo says. "Because she could be in the deepest hole and she's still like, 'Oh my God, those shoes are great!' And that's what I love about her."
