"Private Practice" alum Paul Adelstein has been tapped for a recurring role in ABC's "Scandal," making him the latest Shondaland player to pay a visit to the political drama.

According to TVLine, who first reported the news, Adelstein's character will debut on the show in an October episode. No further details about his role are available at this time.
He'll join recently announced "Scandal" Season 3 guest stars such as Lisa Kudrow and Cynthia Stevenson, who has also appeared on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice."
