We can't say we didn't see this coming. The collection that stole the show today was Proenza Schouler's. The designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (who met while studying fashion at Parsons), have become known for their pieces rooted in classicism and their gravitation toward muted colors and skillful layering.
And this season's spring show showcased all their talents. Our favorite ensemble featured their signature demure color palette and a little shine. Though we aren't sure whether the model is wearing a dress or separates, we are sure that we love the look. Between the cross-over top, high-waisted skirt and shiny metallic strips, the look manages to combine a traditional silhouette with some modern touches. Bravo, Proenza boys, bravo.
