Demario Richard, a four-star high school running back from California, told his Twitter followers on Wednesday what would have to happen for him to just consider choosing to play football at USC.

"If Kiffin Leaves USC might have a shot at gettin me," Richard wrote. He deleted the tweet but not before it gained some attention.

When asked by his Twitter followers, Richard elaborated on his statement.

Despite a lack of reports confirming that he received an offer from USC, Richard insisted that he did in fact turn one down.

Kiffin has been on the hot seat after a disappointing 7-6 season in 2012 and was recently heckled by fans during the Trojans' 10-7 upset to Washington State on Saturday.

Richard ran for 1,722 yards and recorded 24 touchdowns during his junior year, per Scout.com.
