Life in Hawaii is lived by the trade winds. They dictate the surf, the temperature, the sporadic drizzles of rain, and they provide that heavenly breeze that makes Hawaii perfectly comfortable all year round.
Gavin Heffernan of Sunchaser Pictures discovered as much on his recent business trip to Oahu. He noticed how the winds make clouds in Hawaii roll in dramatically over the mountains and fade out peacefully over the ocean, and thankfully, he documented it all in this beautiful timelapse video.
"Honolulu Clouds," as he titled it, isn't as mind-boggling or epic as Heffernan's previous projects -- like his "dreamlapse" of Death Valley -- but with the mellow, happy music and playful cloudscapes, it is as if you escaped for a weeklong vacation to Hawaii in just two minutes.
