Man Wins $1 Million On Lottery Ticket Found In Glove Box

Here's some motivation to clean out the inside of your car every now and again.

When a west suburban Chicago man discovered a forgotten lottery ticket he purchased on the Fourth of July in his car's glove compartment two weeks ago, he took it in to have it scanned at a gas station.

Shortly thereafter, Giuseppe Anelli, of Addison, Ill., learned he had won $1 million.

Anelli, who purchased the ticket at a Citgo at 1740 W. Army Trail Rd. in Addison, plans to use the money to pay off the house he and his wife own and to invest toward college for their three children, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The Addison gas station also received a bonus -- of $10,000 -- for selling the ticket, according to My Suburban Life.

Meanwhile, the next Powerball drawing will be held Wednesday for a jackpot that has swelled to $400 million.
